Progress in development of microgels for adsorption of heavy metal ions

重金属离子吸附用微凝胶研究新进展

Abstract: Microgels are highly potential in the applications of removal of heavy metal ions,because of their abundant functional groups and fast adsorption rates with heavy metal ions. In this paper,the progress in development of microgels for adsorption of heavy metal ions was reviewed,in particular,three types of microgels were introduced. The first type is microgels with multi-functional groups,such as carboxyl,amino,hydroxyl,mercapto,and sulfonate groups,which can adsorb heavy metal ions through electrostatic interactions between the multi-functional groups and heavy metal ions. The second type is ion-imprinted microgels,and the third type is microgels with benzo-18-crown-6 ether(B18C6)groups,which show excellent Pb2+ selectivity because the B18C6 units can specifically capture Pb2+ to form stable B18C6/Pb2+ host-guest complexes. The performance,advantages,and applications of the three types of microgels for adsorption of heavy metal ions have been discussed. This review points out the three types of microgels are appropriate for adsorption of heavy metal ions on different occasions.

摘要: 微凝胶聚合物网络中易于引入能够与重金属离子螯合或络合的功能基团,且比表面积大,对重金属离子具有较快的吸附速率,因此,微凝胶在重金属离子的去除方面具有广阔的应用前景。本文介绍了重金属离子吸附用微凝胶研究新进展,重点回顾了基于羧基、氨基、磺酸基、羟基及巯基等多官能团化合物与重金属离子通过静电相互作用形成稳定络合物的微凝胶用于重金属离子的吸附,离子印迹型微凝胶用于重金属离子的吸附,以及基于冠醚环(苯并-18-冠-6醚)与Pb2+离子通过超分子主-客体识别作用形成稳定络合物的微凝胶用于重金属离子的吸附;描述了这三类微凝胶对重金属离子的吸附性能、优点、用途等;指出了这三类微凝胶适用于不同场合下重金属离子的吸附。
