    The technical progress of producing cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol is reviewed. Two commercial routes to produce cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol are introduced:(1)Oxidation of cyclohexane to cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol;(2) Hydration of cyclohexene to cyclohexanol. Recent developments in oxidation of cyclohexane are described in detail,especially the catalysts. The catalysts include photooxidation catalyst, nanostructured catalyst, Gif catalyst, bionic catalyst, zeolite catalyst and composite catalyst. The researches on commercial production of cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol are discussed.

    Cycloolefin and α–olefin copolymers (COC) with excellent transparency,low dielectric loss,outstanding dimensional stability,high heat resistance and gas barrier property are produced by four companies (Ticona,Nippon Zeon Corp.,JSR Corp. and Mitsui Chemicals) through either ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) or copolymerization with metallocene catalysts (mCOC). These two routes are compared in respect of catalysts,monomers,production processes and product properties. The COC produced through ROMP route has a larger amount of C—C double bond in the macromolecular chains,therefore it has to go through a hydrogenation process to get rid of 98% of the residual double bond in order to produce high-performance materials. The hydrogenation process is not needed if COC is produced through mCOC route. Consequently,mCOC processes are considered economically favorable compared to ROMP processes.

    The 1,3,4-oxadiazole ring is known as a group which has high electron affinity and hole blocking effect. The compounds containing such a group are a kind of electro-luminescent material which has good electron transporting capability. The blue-light-emitting organic electro-luminescent material with 1,3,4-oxadiazole ring is recently a research focus in materials science. The research status of molecular structures, properties and related device performance of small molecular and macromolecular blue-light-emitting organic electro-luminescent materials with 1,3,4-oxadiazole ring is reviewed, and the prospect of molecular design to improve the properties of these materials is also presented.

    The influences of CO2 on global climate change and the necessity of CO2 sequestration are reviewed,and the main approaches to CO2 separation and sequestration are introduced. For the flue gas from coal-burners,the adsorptive properties of physical and chemical adsorbent materials including carbon-based adsorbent,zeolite,metal oxide adsorbent,hydrotalcite-like compounds and lithium compounds for CO2 adsorption at a high temperature are compared in this review. Adsorption properties of the novel adsorbent Lithium zirconate (Li2ZrO3),one of the most promising materials for the sequestration and separation of CO2 from flue gas at a high temperature are critically discussed. The influence factors include CO2 sorption rate,reaction temperature,zirconia particle size,the variety and quantity of the doped compound,optimum conditions for synthesis of lithium zirconate by the solid state reaction etc. The promising and significant research areas in the future are presented.

    TiO2-PILC was prepared by the hydrothermal method. The prepared TiO2-PILC was characterized with XRD, FT-IR, BET. The catalyst was used for cyclodehydration of 1,4-butanediol to tetrahydrofuran in liquid phase. The reaction conditions were titanium /montmorillonites ratio 0.025mol/g, calcination temperature 650 K, reaction temperature 190~200 ℃. Over 98kg 1,4-butanediol was used for 1g catalyst, and the conversion was above 99%. The selectivity of tetrahydrofuran was more than 99.4%. After rectification, the purity index of tetrahydrofuran was over 99.7%, carbonyl content was under 0.019%.

    Poly(styrene-butadiene-styrene-methylacrylate) (SBSM) block copolymers were synthesized by using sequential anionic polymerization in the solvent of cyclohexane and tetrahydrofuran at about 30℃ with n-butyl lithium as initator,DPE as capping agent and LiCl as complex agent. The block copolymers were characterized with GPC,IR,TEM,DSC. The results indicated that the copolymer SBSM had narrow molecular weight distribution (MWD<1.3)

    The valve hole critical gas-velocity and the pressure drop of the type-cross valve trays,combined pilot valve tray,ADV valve tray and F1 valve tray were investigated in a φ1 000 mm column by using air-water system. Besides,the weeping and entrainment of the preceding three kinds of valve trays were measured with the same experiment conditions. All data were gathered and processed by computer. The results show that the type-cross valve tray is suitable for low fluid-flow intensity,the combined pilot valve tray is suitable for high fluid-flow intensity,and the ADV valve tray is suitable for middle fluid-flow intensity.

    To develop a practical process for (R)-2-octanol production from racemic 2-octanol,a two step microbial reaction was investigated. The microbial reaction used the eantioselective oxidation of (S)-2-octanol by Candida cylindracea ATCC 14830 and the asymmetric reduction of oxidated 2-octanone by Oenococcus oeni CECT 4730. O. oeni CECT 4730 was a strain reported which can reduce 2-octanone to (R)-2-octanol,C. cylindracea ATCC 14830 was screened as an candidate biocatalyst for preparation of (R)-2-octanol and 2-octanone with the optical purity of 98%e.e. and the yield of 46%. After redox-coupling,the yield and optical purity were 92% and 98% respectively. The substrate concentration was 40g/L.

    Tripeptide L-prolyl-L-leucyl-glycinamide (PLG) has important physiological and pharmacological functions,and can be used to treat Parkinson’s disease. PLG was synthesized by using the mixed anhydride method from L-proline,L-leucine and glycinamide. The amino groups of L-proline and L-leucine were protected firstly by the carbobenzoxy group,and then the carbobenzoxy group was removed by Pd/C with H2 from L-cbz-prolyl-L-leulyl-gly -NH2 to produce PLG in the end. Isobutyl chloroformate was used as reagent to form mixed anhydride. The optimum conditions to synthesize L-cbz-pro and L-cbz-prolyl- L-leu,were n(cbz)/n(L-pro)=2.6:1 at -5 ℃ for 2 hours and n(i-C4H9OCOCl)/n (L-cbz-pro)=1:1 at -10 ℃ respectively. Under these conditions,the melting point,optical purity and total yield of PLG were 120~122 ℃,98.7% and 38.5% respectively. The specific rotation [α]D20 was -46.3°。

    The complex of PVA solution and sodium alginate solution crosslinked by Ca(NO3)2 as entrapment medium was prepared. The mixture of Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans suspension and the entrapment complex were extruded into a solution of Ca(NO3)2 to form beads, and then the beads were frozen at -20°C for 1~2d and thawed at room temperature. A maximum oxidation rate of 2.90g Fe2+ / (L&#8226;h) was achieved in a packed-bed bioreactor with immobilized cells at the dilution rate of 0.5/h. In addition, the operation of this method was very simple, and the gelation solution (calcium nitrate) used was of low toxicity and very cheap. Moreover, the oxidation activity of the beads obtained by this technique was excellent even under non-sterile conditions. So its application on a commercial scale would be practicable.

    The properties of GS-10 catalyst and commerical application of GS-10/GS-08 catalyst for EB dehydrogenation to styrene in Yanhua Petrochemical Company were introduced. It was found that GS-10/GS-08 catalysts had such characteristics as high dehydrogenation activity, good stability and low decline rate. EB conversion remained at about 76% and styrene selectivity was always above 95%, higher than the contract values of commercial test.

    The main problem in the application of nano-ferrofluid sealing magnetic field is how to find a way to estimate the sealing capability. There are many factors affecting the sealing capability, for example, the characteristics of nano-ferrofluid, the structure of magnetic pole, the process of load function, etc., in which the structure design of magnetic pole is the most important factor for the sealing capability of magnetic field. The numerical analysis method was used to simulate the distribution of magnetic field of the sealing device and experimental investigation was made to study the influence of the structure parameters of a typical magnetic pole on the sealing capability. These experiments indicated that numerical simulation and regression equation calculation could reflect the sealing capability. By considering a specific tolerance the regression equations could be used as the guidance in designing nano-ferrofluid sealing device.

In microcapsulation with spray drying by using coaxial nozzle,the factors affecting the degree of encapsulation,such as wall material concentration,wall material flow rate,CO2 flow rate,inlet-air temperature were also investigated。
