Abstract: The recent advances in using of N2O as oxidative dehydrogenating agent were reviewed. The new investigation of N2O used in oxidative dehydrogenation of n-butane，propane and benzene was summarized. The discussion was focused on the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene to styrene in the presence of N2O and the role of N2O in the oxidative dehydrogenation reactions. Finally，research trend of renovating catalysts，developing new catalyst materials and studying the mechanism of oxidative dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene to styrene in the presence of N2O was discussed.
