Abstract: Phytic acid is a kind of important natural organic phosphorus additive with wide application. Its properties, form of occurrence, preparation, product specification, analysis method and its application in food, pharmaceutical and other industrial fields are reviewed. Suggestions on its technological development, manufacture and practical application are presented.
