Abstract: For the polymer production industries, the competitive edge will come from the technology that excels in controlling the polymer quality in a consistent way over the entire plant. The state of the art quality control systems of polymer production plant is reviewed,with the main focus on on–line soft–sensing and optimal grade transition control problems. It is proposed that the most important factor in developing an intelligent quality control system is quality modeling and implementing plant–wide quality estimation and control is beneficial. Finally, some open problems and potential development trends of the field are pointed out.

摘要: 综述了聚合物生产过程中质量控制技术的重要性,讨论了在线软测量和牌号切换操作的质量控制、建立能真实反映过程机理的质量模型,是实现聚合物质量精密d控制的核心;介绍了进行过程全局质量控制的必要性,对该领域的难点问题及可能的研究方向进行了探讨。
