Abstract: Recent advances in heterogeneous catalysts of ethylene oligomerization to α-olefins is summarized. The reaction performance of ethylene oligomerization is reviewed from the aspects of catalysts，active site，the varieties，valent state，coordination state of metal cation，the roles of co-catalysts. The structure and characteristics of heterogeneous catalysts，formation of intermediates in the reaction and reaction mechanism are discussed. The main problems in researching heterogeneous catalysts are indicated. Future development of heterogeneous catalysts in ethylene oligomerization to α-olefins is presented.
