Abstract:

The recent advance in technology for production of aromatic hydrocarbons, such as catalytic reforming, aromatics extraction, toluene disproportionation & transalkylation, xylene isomerization and p-xylene(PX) separation is reviewed. Meanwhile, the new technologies of combined reactions, combined separations, toluene methylation and light cycle oil to aromatatics are introduced. The prospects for future development of new technologies in aromatics production are also presented.
